Isa Nafissi

Isa obtained her Juris Doctor (law degree) from the Peter Allard School of Law at UBC and began her articles at Kitsilano Family Law in May 2026.

Isa initially started working at Kitsilano Family Law during the summer of 2024 as 1L Summer Law Student and then again in 2025 2L Summer Articling Student. During her time at Kitsilano Family Law, Isa has assisted with files involving international child abduction, high-conflict parenting matters, property division, child/spousal support, and divorce. Isa has also assisted with out-of-court settlement processes including mediations, negotiations, and drafting separation agreements.

Prior to law school, Isa obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from UBC with high distinction, in 2021. She completed both her social work practicum, and clinical term in law school at Rise Women's Legal Centre, where she worked with women and gender-diverse folks, primarily survivors of family violence, to navigate their family law matters in various capacities.

In her past life, Isa worked as a Family Law Advocate at MOSAIC where she supported low-income immigrants and newcomers to self-represent within the family law system, including in both Provincial and Supreme Courts. As an Advocate, Isa successfully assisted clients to obtain protection, divorce, and child support orders.

In her free time, Isa likes to spend time with her high-energy husky Leo discovering new trails on the North Shore. She also loves going to the gym, attending concerts, and trying out new restaurants around the city.

Isa is able to serve clients in Farsi.
